About Sam

I’m a designer, builder, and creative generalist with eight years of experience shaping brands across early-stage startups and growth-stage companies.

I currently partner independently with brands and teams to lead creative direction, design, and execution across campaigns, websites, and visual systems that scale across every touchpoint.

Before that, I worked hands-on across concepting, production, and delivery on projects ranging from multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns to BART and Times Square placements, alongside other award–winning work.

As a transgender person working in California, collaborating across diverse communities has shaped how I approach design. I think beyond a single audience—considering who a design serves, how it’s experienced, and how it holds up in the real world.

On the side, I’m the founder and creative lead behind Holy Smokes Rolling Papers, a graphics-driven label built on bold visuals and a slightly irreverent point of view.

Outside of the studio, I’m usually kickboxing, traveling, drumming, skateboarding, or watching Survivor with my dog, Henley.
